Our location is far in the North Enontekiö. We often have snow already at the end of October, so nature is often covered in beautiful white snow throughout November. The first snow varies every year and it is impossible to say for sure when it will be time for snow. We can only tell you about previous years here. We cannot guarantee snow in November.
Another reason, besides the early snow, to come this far north is the Northern Lights. Here in the far North it is likely to see the Northern Lights if the sky is clear.
The amazing colors during daylight hours predict the coming polar night. However, daylight lasts longer than in midwinter during the polar night. The weather is not as extreme as it can be in the middle of winter. Because of the longer daylight hours and milder weather, you can spend longer outside than in the middle of winter.
In early winter you can easily walk in nature when there is not much snow and explore the nature around. As soon as there is little snow, we will go for a horse sleigh ride. You can feed reindeer, see them close and learn about traditional reindeer husbandry during the reindeer farm visit. You will discover more about our culture and enjoy local delicacies under the Northern Lights, if you are lucky.

When it comes to the time of the first snow, of course we cannot know for sure when it will be. Activities are carried out according to natural conditions. If necessary, activities will be replaced according to Autumn Aurora -experiences.
