Our location is far in the North Enontekiö. We often have snow already at the end of October, so nature is often covered in beautiful white snow throughout November. The first snow varies every year and it is impossible to say for sure when it will be time for snow. We can only tell you about previous years here. We cannot guarantee snow in November.
Another reason, besides the early snow, to come this far North is the Northern Lights. Choosing a northern location is the most relevant if you want to see the Northern Lights. Here in the far North it is likely to see the Northern Lights during the night, if the sky is clear.
The amazing colors during daylight hours predict the coming polar night. However, daylight lasts longer than in midwinter during the polar night. The weather is not as extreme as it can be in the middle of winter. Because of the longer daylight hours and milder weather, you can spend longer outside than in the middle of winter.
In early winter, November, you can easily walk in nature when there is not much snow and explore the nature around. Explore nature and culture in Lapland on excursions with a local guide away from the crowds. You can feed reindeer and learn about traditional reindeer husbandry during the reindeer farm visit. We will enjoy local delicacies and same time keep eyes on the sky for the Aurora Borealis. On the last day, we will go for horse sleigh ride, we need only a little snow for it.

The tent is heated by a wood-burning stove. There will be fire when you arrive. You need to add more firewood into stove, also during the night.
The tent is heated also with another method, when needed.
There is electricity in the tent.
There is no shower or other running water in the tent (outdoor sauna x1 included).
There is no cooking facility in the tent (full board meals included).

There is a dry outdoor toilet for your private use.
The northern lights are natural phenomena, their appearance cannot be guaranteed
Snow in November is likely but we can’t guarantee it.
The activities can be carried out with little snow and even without snow, with slight modifications.
